Standard Reconstitution Protocol

Before beginning, allow both the lyophilized peptide and the recommended solvent to reach room temperature.

Prepare a clean laboratory work surface and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including laboratory gloves and eye protection. Before handling the vials, carefully sanitize the rubber stoppers of both the peptide and solvent with an alcohol wipe.

💧 Recommended Solvent

Always use the solvent specified in each peptide's analytical monograph. Depending on compound characteristics, reconstitution may require sterile Bacteriostatic Water or an Acetic Acid solution.

Before proceeding, consult compound-specific technical documentation to determine the appropriate solvent. Different reconstitution solvents must not be considered interchangeable between peptides.

🧪 Reconstitution Procedure
  • Using a sterile laboratory syringe, draw the required volume of the recommended solvent.
  • Incline the vial at approximately 45° and slowly introduce the solvent along the inner glass wall, avoiding direct pressurized contact onto the lyophilized cake.
  • Do not shake the vial vigorously. Allow contents to dissolve gently to minimize foaming and preserve sample molecular integrity.
  • Once reconstituted, the solution should present the appearance specified for each individual product. Where applicable, it must appear clear and free of visible particulate matter.
